Comparison review
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a general score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL)'s 73.8 overall score. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s construction is noticeably newer, but somewhat heavier and just a little thicker than the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL). Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and some performance improvements.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) has a slightly better looking screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a brighter display. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a bit more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) has just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) also counts with a much more megapixels camera in the back.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL), and although they both have an external SD slot that allows up to 1,95 TB, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has 128 GB internal storage. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a superior battery life than Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL), because it has a 67 percent bigger battery size.
