Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a global score of 78.7, which is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra's global score of 73.3. Even though the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra were released with only a couple of months difference, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro body is much lighter but just a little thicker than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a more vivid display than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a way better pixels density. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features just a bit better performance than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 200 GB. The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra captures a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has worse 24 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra also counts with a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels and a larger diafragm aperture.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra features just a little better battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4600mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
