Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is better than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, getting a general score of 85.3 against 73.3. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 construction is much newer and somewhat thinner, but also heavier than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has the previous 11 version and Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a more vivid display than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because it has a just a bit better pixel density, a larger screen and a lot higher resolution of 1892 x 2688 pixels. Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 200 GB.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a little faster processing unit than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has 4 GB more RAM. The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has just a bit better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity against 4449mAh.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 and Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra have very similar cameras, because although the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a lower video quality and a lot less megapixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a larger aperture to capture better photography and video in low light environments.
