Galaxy A5 (2017) has an overall score of 75.8, which is slightly better than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra's overall score of 73.3. The Galaxy A5 (2017) body is incredibly lighter but thicker than the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and both were only released with a couple of months difference. Galaxy A5 (2017) has a bit better looking screen than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1080 x 1920px resolution, the Galaxy A5 (2017) also counts with a better number of pixels per inch of screen.
Galaxy A5 (2017) has a little better processing power than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 200 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for taking images and video in low light situations, it also counts with a lot better 23 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot higher (4K) video quality.
