Xiaomi Mi 8 has an overall score of 83.3, which is better than the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra's 73.3 general score. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a newer and much lighter phone than the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, although it's also just a bit thicker. These devices include Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has 10 version while Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a sharper display than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2248 and a quite higher pixels count per display inch. The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little faster processor than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features just a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has a very superior battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 35 percent larger battery capacity.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited situations and lower 24 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra also counts with a way better 23 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
