Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a global score of 75.8, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra's 73.3 overall score. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, giving you a couple additional features. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is a newer and noticeably lighter cellphone than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, but it's also somewhat thicker.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a little better processing power than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a bit sharper display than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better count of pixels in each inch in the screen and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra takes better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, a way more megapixels back-facing camera and a bigger camera aperture. Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra features much more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has 64 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 200 GB.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has just a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity.
