Comparison review
HTC U Ultra has an overall score of 77, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro's 75.5 global score. Although HTC U Ultra and the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro were released only a couple months apart, HTC U Ultra's design is just a bit lighter but a little bit thicker. The HTC U Ultra counts with a little sharper display than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a little bit bigger screen and a better pixel density.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro has just a bit better hardware performance than HTC U Ultra, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro and the HTC U Ultra both feature extremely similar memory capacity for apps and games, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1,95 TB and exactly the same internal memory.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro counts with superior battery life than HTC U Ultra, because it has a 20 percent more battery capacity. HTC U Ultra counts with a slightly better camera than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for capturing photographs in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the same video frame rates and a 12 MP camera in the back, the HTC U Ultra also counts with a larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it costs more than the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus ZenFone 4 Pro. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the HTC U Ultra, else you can save some dollars and get the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, letting go some specs and features.
