Comparison review
Galaxy S8 has a global score of 81.7, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro's global score of 75.5. Even though Galaxy S8 and Asus ZenFone 4 Pro were released with only a couple months difference, the Galaxy S8 design is somewhat lighter but also a bit thicker than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro. The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro has a bit superior processor than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM.
Galaxy S8 has a little bit better screen than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, because it has a much higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, a quite larger display and a better count of pixels per display inch. The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro has a much better storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.
The Galaxy S8 has just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro. Both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same video definition, a same size back camera sensor, a 12 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a same size camera aperture. Asus ZenFone 4 Pro features superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.
In addition to being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy S8 is also by far the cheapest, which makes it an obvious call.
