Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro's score of 75.5. Although the Xperia XZ2 Premium is newer than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, it is much heavier and way thicker. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much better display than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, because it has a little bit larger display, a much greater count of pixels per display inch and a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro has a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a little better performance than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and 6 GB of RAM.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro counts with a little better battery duration than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity. Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a better image quality and a back facing camera with lot more MP.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
