Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 4's overall score of 74.2. The Huawei Mate 8 is a better cellphone than Asus ZenFone 4, we must highlight that it's also an older, a little bit thicker and heavier cellphone. Asus ZenFone 4 features just a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Asus ZenFone 4 also counts with a little higher number of pixels per inch in the display.
Asus ZenFone 4 has a quite bigger storage to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a bit faster processor than Asus ZenFone 4. Both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.
The Asus ZenFone 4 counts with just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a camera with a way worse 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher video resolution and a bigger aperture to take better captures in low light environments. The Huawei Mate 8 has superior battery life than Asus ZenFone 4, because it has a 21% bigger battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 4. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus ZenFone 4, giving up some features and specifications.
