Comparison review

LG G5 is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone 4, getting a global score of 76.1 against 74.2. Both of these phones use the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. Even though LG G5 is older than the Asus ZenFone 4, it's body is just a bit lighter and a little thinner.

LG G5 counts with a little sharper screen than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and more pixels per inch of screen. Asus ZenFone 4 has more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than LG G5, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB, the Asus ZenFone 4 also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Asus ZenFone 4 has a bit faster CPU than LG G5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Asus ZenFone 4 also has more processing cores. Asus ZenFone 4 counts with superior battery lifetime than LG G5, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity against 2800mAh. LG G5 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has a smaller sensor giving a worse image quality, and they both have the same video resolution, the same video frame rates and a F1.8 aperture, the LG G5 also counts with a much higher resolution camera.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus ZenFone 4. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Asus ZenFone 4, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
