The Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a general score of 77, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 4's global score of 74.2. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo construction is noticeably newer, but a bit thicker and just a little bit heavier than the Asus ZenFone 4. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Motorola Edge 40 Neo has an older 13 version while Asus ZenFone 4 has Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Asus ZenFone 4 has a much faster processing unit than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a little sharper screen than Asus ZenFone 4, because it has a larger display, a little higher pixel count in each display inch, a lot brighter display and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

The Asus ZenFone 4 has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a superior battery life than Asus ZenFone 4, because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 3300mAh.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a very superior camera than Asus ZenFone 4, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.8 aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo also has a way more MP back camera and a lot larger sensor which provides a much higher image and video quality.
