The Moto Z2 Play is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone 4, getting a 77.4 score against 74.2. Even though the Moto Z2 Play and Asus ZenFone 4 were only released with a few months difference, the Moto Z2 Play is lighter and much thinner. Asus ZenFone 4 features a bit more vivid display than Moto Z2 Play. Both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a display with the same size and the same display density.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play's memory for games and applications is just as good as Asus ZenFone 4's one, both have an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and exactly the same internal memory. The Moto Z2 Play counts with a processor that is just as good as the processing unit in Asus ZenFone 4, both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.
Asus ZenFone 4 features just a bit better battery life than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity. The Asus ZenFone 4 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Moto Z2 Play, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low light photography, they both have the same resolution back camera, the same video definition and the same video frame rate.
Even being the best phone in our current comparison, the Moto Z2 Play is also very cheap compared to the other devices.
