The Moto Z3 Play has a global score of 76.3, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 4's general score of 74.2. Even when the Moto Z3 Play and Asus ZenFone 4 were released only a few months apart, the Moto Z3 Play is a bit thinner and just a little bit lighter. Asus ZenFone 4 has a bit sharper screen than Moto Z3 Play, although it has a little lower 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quite smaller screen and a just a little inferior number of pixels per inch in the display.
The Asus ZenFone 4 has a little faster processor than Moto Z3 Play. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. Moto Z3 Play takes clearer photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 4, and although they both have a same size camera sensor, the same video quality, the same resolution camera and the same video frame rates, the Moto Z3 Play also has a bigger aperture to capture better images in poorly lited environments.
The Moto Z3 Play features as much memory capacity to store more games and applications as Asus ZenFone 4, both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 1,95 TB. The Asus ZenFone 4 counts with a little better battery life than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 10% greater battery capacity.
Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs more money than Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus ZenFone 4. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Asus ZenFone 4, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
