Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 is better than the Asus ZenFone 4, getting an 82.6 score against 74.2. Sony Xperia 1 is a newer cellphone than Asus ZenFone 4, although it is a bit thicker and a little heavier. Sony Xperia 1 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Asus ZenFone 4, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with a brighter display than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has much more opaque screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a much better number of pixels per inch of screen and a larger display. Xperia 1 counts with a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has lower video frame rate and a smaller camera sensor which gives a worse photo and video quality, and they both have a same resolution back-facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger camera aperture.
Asus ZenFone 4 counts with slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia 1, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Xperia 1's battery duration is very similar to the Asus ZenFone 4 one, although the Xperia 1 also has 3330mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone 4. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, else you can save some money and get the Asus ZenFone 4, letting go some features and specs.
