Xiaomi Mi MIX has a score of 76.2, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 4's 74.2 overall score. Xiaomi Mi MIX's design is older, just a little bit thicker and noticeably heavier than Asus ZenFone 4. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi MIX has older 6.0 Marshmallow version and Asus ZenFone 4 has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Asus ZenFone 4 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a bit more brightness and a little bit better pixel density. The Asus ZenFone 4 features a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Asus ZenFone 4 also has a larger number of cores.
Xiaomi Mi MIX takes a little bit better videos and photos than Asus ZenFone 4, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for taking photographs and video in low-light situations and a tinier sensor taking worse quality images and videos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same video quality, the Xiaomi Mi MIX also counts with a way higher 16 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Asus ZenFone 4 counts with a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Mi MIX features improved battery life than Asus ZenFone 4, because it has a 33 percent bigger battery size.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus ZenFone 4. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Asus ZenFone 4, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
