Comparison review

Asus ZenFone 8 is much better than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), getting an 83 score against 74.5. Even though Asus ZenFone 8 is a lot newer than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), it is thicker and a bit heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Asus ZenFone 8 has the previous 11 version while Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL) has Android 9.0 Pie.

The Asus ZenFone 8 has just a bit better looking display than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with much more brightness, a just a bit higher screen pixels density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400. Asus ZenFone 8 has a little faster CPU than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL). Both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.

The Asus ZenFone 8 shoots greater pictures and videos than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), and although they both have the same aperture, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has a back camera with way more megapixels, a much better 7680x4320 video quality and a lot larger camera sensor providing a way better image quality.

Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL) has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB. Asus ZenFone 8 features superior battery life than Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
