Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is much better than Asus ZenFone 5Q's score of 72.6. Xperia 1's construction is newer, but a bit heavier and just a bit thicker than Asus ZenFone 5Q. The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a better screen than Asus ZenFone 5Q, because it has a bit larger screen, a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a much higher count of pixels per inch of screen.
The Asus ZenFone 5Q counts with just a bit bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Xperia 1 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone 5Q, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia 1's camera is very similar to the camera in Asus ZenFone 5Q, because although the Xperia 1 has a lower (4K) video quality and a lot less megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a much bigger diafragm aperture for better photos and videos in low light environments. The Asus ZenFone 5Q and the Sony Xperia 1 both have similar batteries, although the Sony Xperia 1 also has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus ZenFone 5Q, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 5Q. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Asus ZenFone 5Q, letting go a couple features and specs.
