Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 5z's 75.3 global score. Even being the best in our current comparison, the Huawei Mate 8 is a noticeably older, just a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier device than Asus ZenFone 5z. The Asus ZenFone 5z has a little faster processor than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ZenFone 5z also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Asus ZenFone 5z has a little bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a quite better 1080 x 2246 resolution, a quite bigger display and a bit greater number of pixels per inch of display. Huawei Mate 8 shoots way better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone 5z, although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for shooting photos in low-light environments, they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate.
Asus ZenFone 5z features much more storage to store more games and applications than Huawei Mate 8, because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 8 features longer battery duration than Asus ZenFone 5z, because it has a 21% greater battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Asus ZenFone 5z, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 5z. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone 5z, letting go some features and specs.
