Comparison review
OnePlus 8 Pro has an overall score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone 5z's 75.3 overall score. Even though the OnePlus 8 Pro is newer than Asus ZenFone 5z, it's heavier and a little thicker. The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a sharper display than Asus ZenFone 5z, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 3168px, a greater count of pixels per display inch, way more brightness and a bit bigger screen.
Asus ZenFone 5z features a much better memory to install games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The OnePlus 8 Pro features a processing unit that is just as good as Asus ZenFone 5z's processing unit, both have 8 GB of RAM and 8 cores.
OnePlus 8 Pro shoots way better photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 5z, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same 60 fps video frame rates, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a lot bigger sensor taking much better quality videos and photographs. OnePlus 8 Pro features a much better battery duration than Asus ZenFone 5z, because it has 4510mAh of battery capacity.
Although OnePlus 8 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone 5z, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone 5z. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the OnePlus 8 Pro, else you can save some money and buy the Asus ZenFone 5z, giving up a couple features and specifications.
