Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is better than Asus ZenFone 5z, getting a score of 85.2 against 75.3. Even being the best cellphone in this review, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is a just a bit thicker and a bit heavier cellphone than Asus ZenFone 5z. The Asus ZenFone 5z counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A9 (2018), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ZenFone 5z also has a higher amount of RAM.
Asus ZenFone 5z has a little bit better screen than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2246 and a little higher pixel amount in each inch of screen. Asus ZenFone 5z has a much greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy A9 (2018) counts with just a little better battery duration than Asus ZenFone 5z, because it has a 15% bigger battery capacity. The Galaxy A9 (2018) captures much better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor and worse 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same video resolution, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
