Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 5z's 75.3 general score. Sony Xperia 1's body is newer than the Asus ZenFone 5z's, although it's a bit thicker and a bit heavier. Xperia 1 has a better screen than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has a lot more opaque display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840, a way better display density and a little bit larger display.
Asus ZenFone 5z counts with a superior storage to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia 1, because it has 128 GB more internal storage and an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xperia 1 features a processor that is just as good as the Asus ZenFone 5z one, and although the Xperia 1 has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
Sony Xperia 1 has a way better camera than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has slower 24 fps video frame rate and a smaller camera sensor taking less light and washed colors, and they both have the same video definition, the Sony Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photos and video.
Xperia 1's battery performance is very similar to the Asus ZenFone 5z one, although the Xperia 1 also has a 3330mAh battery size against 3300mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone 5z, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus ZenFone 5z. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Asus ZenFone 5z, letting go a couple specifications.
