Xperia XZ2 Compact has a score of 79, which is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone 5z's 75.3 global score. Even though the Xperia XZ2 Compact is better than Asus ZenFone 5z, it must be told that it is also a incredibly thicker and just a bit heavier cellphone. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a slightly better looking screen than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with more brightness and a just a bit better amount of pixels per inch of screen.
Asus ZenFone 5z features a little better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Asus ZenFone 5z also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Asus ZenFone 5z features much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB.
Asus ZenFone 5z features a little better battery life than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity. The Xperia XZ2 Compact takes greater photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 5z, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
