The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) is a little bit better than Moto Z2 Play, with a general score of 77.8 against 77.4. The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) design is newer, but much heavier and thicker than Moto Z2 Play. The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) counts with just a bit better performance than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) also has a larger amount of RAM.
Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) counts with a slightly better screen than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a little greater display density, a slightly higher 1080 x 2340 resolution and a bigger display. The Moto Z2 Play has as much memory capacity for applications and games as Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), both of them have equal internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 1,95 TB.
Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) features a much longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh. The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) captures much better videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting pictures or videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same video definition, the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) also counts with a camera in the back with a much better 48 mega-pixels resolution and faster 60 frames per second video frame rate.
Although Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto Z2 Play. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto Z2 Play, letting go a couple features and specifications.
