The LG Velvet is slightly better than Asus ZenFone 8, getting a score of 87.1 against 83. The LG Velvet design is somewhat thinner than the Asus ZenFone 8, but it's a little heavier and was released just 12 months before. Asus ZenFone 8 counts with a brighter screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a little smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 2400 resolution, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per screen inch.
The Asus ZenFone 8 has just a bit better hardware performance than LG Velvet. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. LG Velvet has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the LG Velvet also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1,95 TB.
Asus ZenFone 8 shoots better photos and videos than LG Velvet, and although they both have the same aperture, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has a way better 7680x4320 video quality, a bigger camera sensor which offers a higher image and video quality and a way better resolution camera in the back. LG Velvet features just a bit better battery lifetime than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity.
