Asus ZenFone 8 is a little bit better than the Motorola Edge 40, getting an 83 score against 77.2. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but Asus ZenFone 8 has 11 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version. Asus ZenFone 8's construction is older, somewhat thicker and a bit heavier than the Motorola Edge 40.
Asus ZenFone 8 has a way better hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Asus ZenFone 8 counts with a bit sharper display than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has less brightness and a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2400px, the Asus ZenFone 8 also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display.
The Motorola Edge 40's storage capacity to store more games and applications is just as good as the Asus ZenFone 8 one, both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Asus ZenFone 8 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting worse quality images and a lot smaller aperture, it also counts with a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a way better video definition.
