Comparison review

The Asus ZenFone 8 has a general score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto G9 Play's 76.7 global score. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus ZenFone 8 has a more recent 11 version while Motorola Moto G9 Play has Android 10, so it provides some nice extra features and performance optimizations. Even though the Asus ZenFone 8 and Motorola Moto G9 Play were released with only 9 months difference, the Asus ZenFone 8 is lighter and just a little thinner.

The Asus ZenFone 8 features a much sharper screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1080 x 2400 resolution and a much greater pixel density. The Asus ZenFone 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has more RAM memory.

The Asus ZenFone 8 has a better camera than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photography, and they both have a same size sensor, the Asus ZenFone 8 also counts with a much better 64 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a lot higher 7680x4320 video definition.

The Moto G9 Play features a better memory capacity for applications and games than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Motorola Moto G9 Play has improved battery lifetime than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has a 25% more battery size.
