Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 8, getting an 83 score against 83. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 construction is a bit thinner than the Asus ZenFone 8, but it's somewhat heavier and was released many years before. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Asus ZenFone 8 has Android 11 version, providing the user some additional features and better performance.

Asus ZenFone 8 has a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Note8, although it has a much lower 1080 x 2400 resolution, a bit smaller display and a little bit inferior number of pixels per inch of display. Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 256 GB.

Asus ZenFone 8 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note8. Both have the same RAM amount and 8 CPU cores. The Asus ZenFone 8 captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting photos and video in low-light situations, it also counts with a much bigger sensor which gives a lot higher photo and video quality, a back-facing camera with way more megapixels and a much better 7680x4320 video definition.

Asus ZenFone 8 counts with improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21% greater battery size.
