The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a global score of 94.6, which is much better than the Asus ZenFone 8's 83 overall score. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 design is noticeably thinner but notably heavier than the Asus ZenFone 8, and they were only released 8 months apart. These phones come with the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a bit better processor than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
