Comparison review

Asus ZenFone 8 is just a bit better than Sony Xperia 1, with a global score of 83 against 82.6. Although the Asus ZenFone 8 is just a little bit thicker than the Sony Xperia 1, it's a little bit lighter and also newer. Asus ZenFone 8 and Xperia 1 have quite similar CPUs, they have a 6 GB RAM and the same number of cores.

The Xperia 1 features a little bit better display than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has much lower brightness, it also counts with a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a higher display density and a bit bigger screen. The Xperia 1 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.

The Asus ZenFone 8 features a greater camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or videos in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a much higher 64 megapixels resolution back facing camera, a lot larger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a lot better 7680x4320 video quality.

The Asus ZenFone 8 counts with longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.
