The Asus ZenFone 8 has a general score of 83, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ Premium's 79.8 overall score. Even though Asus ZenFone 8 is somewhat thicker than the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, it's lighter and also a lot newer. Xperia XZ Premium features a brighter screen than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has much more opaque display and a little smaller display, it also counts with a much higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a lot greater number of pixels per inch in the display.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a little bit better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Asus ZenFone 8 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Asus ZenFone 8 features superior battery duration than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3230mAh. The Asus ZenFone 8 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a way higher video definition, a way bigger sensor taking much better quality photos and videos, a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a bigger camera aperture for better photos in poorly lited situations.
