Asus ROG Phone 5s is better than Asus Zenfone 9, getting an 84.9 score against 72.6. Even being the best in this comparison review, the Asus ROG Phone 5s is an older, way heavier and a little thicker phone than Asus Zenfone 9. Both of these phones work with the same Android 12 operating system, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features.
The Asus ROG Phone 5s features a brighter display than Asus Zenfone 9, because although it has a little worse number of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little bit higher 1080 x 2448 pixels resolution and a larger screen. The Asus ROG Phone 5s features a much powerful processing unit than Asus Zenfone 9. Both of them have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processor.
The Asus ROG Phone 5s's memory capacity for apps and games is very similar to the Asus Zenfone 9 one, they have exactly the same internal storage. Asus ROG Phone 5s counts with a slightly better camera than Asus Zenfone 9, because although it has a smaller camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality, and they both have the same video quality, the Asus ROG Phone 5s also counts with higher 30 frames per second video frame rate, a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light images and a back camera with a way higher 64 megapixels resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone 5s has a really longer battery life than Asus Zenfone 9, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 4300mAh.
