The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is much better than Asus Zenfone 9's score of 72.6. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy M40 has the older 10 version and Asus Zenfone 9 has Android 12. The Samsung Galaxy M40 body is a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner than Asus Zenfone 9, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with a much better performing processing unit than Asus Zenfone 9, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy M40 features a little more vivid display than Asus Zenfone 9, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a just a little lower screen pixel density, it also counts with a quite larger screen.
Asus Zenfone 9 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for shooting photos or video in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a much better video definition, a camera in the back with much more mega pixels and a lot larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Galaxy M40 counts with a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Asus Zenfone 9, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy M40 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Asus Zenfone 9 features improved battery life than Galaxy M40, because it has a 23% greater battery capacity.
