Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a general score of 78.7, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2)'s 71.6 global score. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's construction has the same thickness than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), but it is a little bit heavier. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version and Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit better performance than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a much better display than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a lot greater display pixels density.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), although it has a worse resolution back camera, a lower video definition and a tinier camera aperture which is not good for taking photographs and video in low-light situations. The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) counts with a superior memory to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a battery performance that is just as good as Asus ZenFone Max (M2)'s battery lifetime.
