The Galaxy Note7 is much better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), getting a global score of 79.5 against 71.6. Galaxy Note7's construction is incredibly older, just a little bit thicker and just a little heavier than Asus ZenFone Max (M2). The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) counts with a little longer battery life than Galaxy Note7, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh. Samsung Galaxy Note7 features a little bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with less mega-pixels, it also counts with a bigger aperture.
