The Galaxy S4 is much better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), getting a general score of 79 against 71.6. Galaxy S4 is a way older and a little bit thicker device than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), but Samsung was able to build it somewhat lighter anyway. Both phones we are comparing come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S4 has 4.4 version and Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Galaxy S4 features a much better looking screen than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per display inch and a better 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Asus ZenFone Max (M2) counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Asus ZenFone Max (M2) also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Galaxy S4 has just a bit better hardware performance than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM and a lower number of cores , it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. Asus ZenFone Max (M2) features a slightly better camera than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the Asus ZenFone Max (M2) also has a bigger aperture to take better images and video in poorly lited environments and a much higher (4K) video definition.
Asus ZenFone Max (M2) features a much better battery life than Galaxy S4, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
