Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 has a score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2)'s 71.6 general score. Xperia Z5 is an older phone than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), but Sony was able to make it a bit thinner and a little bit lighter. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS, but Xperia Z5 has the older 5.1 version while Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Sony Xperia Z5 has a much sharper display than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixels density and a higher 1920 x 1080 resolution. Sony Xperia Z5 features a bit superior processor than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with a graphics processing unit.
The Xperia Z5 has a better camera than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a same size aperture, the Xperia Z5 also has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels. Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has a superior storage to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.
Asus ZenFone Max (M2) features a much better battery life than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a 38 percent larger battery capacity.
