Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 Premium is better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), getting a 79.8 score against 71.6. Xperia Z5 Premium is a notably older, somewhat heavier and just a little thicker device than Asus ZenFone Max (M2). Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS, but Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version while Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a way better looking screen than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 3840 x 2160px resolution and a much higher number of pixels per inch in the display. The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a little faster processor than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a GPU. The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) features a bit longer battery duration than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 17% greater battery capacity.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium shoots better photographs and videos than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot higher resolution camera in the back.
