Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), getting a global score of 78.1 against 71.6. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has 6.0 Marshmallow version while Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie. Although it's the best in this comparison review, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus body is much older, just a little thicker and a bit heavier than Asus ZenFone Max (M2).
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a much better screen than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920. The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1,95 TB.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a bit better performance than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with 2 GB more RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus takes slightly better videos and photos than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, they both have a same resolution back camera, the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality.
Asus ZenFone Max (M2) features just a bit better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
