The Microsoft Surface Duo has a global score of 78.8, which is slightly better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s overall score of 73.1. The Microsoft Surface Duo construction is a lot newer and much thinner than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s, although it is also incredibly heavier. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Microsoft Surface Duo has an older 10 version and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a much lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little greater display density. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a much bigger memory to store more apps and games than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.

Microsoft Surface Duo features a little bit better performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has more RAM memory. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has lower 24 frames per second video frame rates and a tinier aperture which is worse for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) also counts with a more mega pixels camera in the back.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has a 40 percent more battery capacity.

Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
