OnePlus 9 has a general score of 76, which is a little bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s global score of 73.1. OnePlus 9's design is notably newer, but a little heavier and a little thicker than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the OnePlus 9 has 11 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a little bit better looking screen than OnePlus 9, although it has a little bit lower pixel density, a little bit worse 1080 x 2160 resolution and a bit smaller display. OnePlus 9 features a bit more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 9 also has more RAM memory.
OnePlus 9 features a way better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because it has a much higher resolution back-facing camera, a way better video quality and a bigger diafragm aperture. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than OnePlus 9, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a bit better battery duration than OnePlus 9, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although OnePlus 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you need that extra features, you can buy OnePlus 9, else you can save some dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), giving up a couple features and specifications.
