Samsung Galaxy A71 is much better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), getting a general score of 87.5 against 73.1. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A71 has older 11 version and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy A71 is a newer phone, and it's also just a little bit thinner and just a bit lighter than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1).

Galaxy A71 has just a little better processing power than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A71 also has a greater amount of RAM. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy A71, because although it has a little lower 1080 x 2160 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a little greater screen pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy A71 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has better 30 frames per second video frame rates, a bigger aperture for better images and videos in low-light situations and a back facing camera with much more MP.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a bit bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a bit longer battery life than Galaxy A71, because it has an 11% larger battery size.

The Galaxy A71 costs a lot more money than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
