Galaxy S5 Sport is slightly better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), getting a 77.8 score against 73.1. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S5 Sport has an older 4.4.2 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie. Galaxy S5 Sport's body is lighter than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), but it's just a bit thicker and was released many years before.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport features a bit better screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a quite smaller display and a little worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a little greater pixel density. The Galaxy S5 Sport features a little bit better processing power than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has an inferior number of cores (although faster) and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has more internal memory and a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a little bit better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have a same size aperture and the same (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport also has faster 30 fps video frame rate and a more mega pixels back facing camera.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a much longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, otherwise you can save some money and get the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), giving up a couple features and specifications.
