Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has an overall score of 81.2, which is better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s 73.1 overall score. Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) were released only 7 months apart, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 design is just a little thinner but a bit heavier than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1).
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. They have an equal 1080 x 2160 resolution, a display of the same size and a better pixels quantity in each display inch. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) features a bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a bit superior processing unit than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and although they both have 8 cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has more RAM. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has a much longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video definition and a camera in the back with a lower resolution, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), resigning some specifications.
