Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s score of 77.4. Both of these phones include the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system, so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect. Despite being the best cellphone in this review, the Galaxy Note8 construction is older, just a little thicker and heavier than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2).

Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Galaxy Note8 also has a better screen pixels density and a higher 1440 x 2960px resolution. Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit better CPU than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2). They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note8, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB more internal memory. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a very superior battery life than Galaxy Note8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.

The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, a 12 mega pixels camera and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy Note8 also has a larger sensor providing a better image quality and a bigger camera aperture to take better low light images and video.
