The HTC One M9 has a global score of 77.7, which is a lot better than the Asus ZenFone Max's 62.2 global score. HTC One M9's design is notably lighter and just a little thinner than the Asus ZenFone Max, although both were only released with a couple of months difference. Both phones we are comparing here work with the same Android 5.0 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any difference in that aspect.

The HTC One M9 features a way better processing power than Asus ZenFone Max, because it has a greater number of faster cores, 1 GB more RAM memory, a 64 bits CPU and an extra GPU. HTC One M9 has a much better looking screen than Asus ZenFone Max, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1920 x 1080 resolution and a much higher screen pixel density.

The HTC One M9 counts with a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ZenFone Max, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The Asus ZenFone Max counts with a way better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.

HTC One M9 has a much better camera than Asus ZenFone Max, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a much better resolution back facing camera.

Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, HTC One M9 is also the cheapest one.
