Galaxy S III is a little bit better than Essential Phone, getting a 69.7 score against 66.3. Even though Galaxy S III is extremely older and just a little thicker than Essential Phone, it's body is still a lot lighter. The Essential Phone counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM and a higher number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy S III features a display that is very similar to the screen in Essential Phone, although the Samsung Galaxy S III has a lot worse 1280 x 720 resolution, a much worse amount of pixels in each display inch and a quite smaller screen. The Essential Phone has a much better camera than Galaxy S III, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor providing a lower image quality, it also counts with a lot better video definition, a lot bigger aperture to capture better low light photos and video and a camera in the back with much more mega-pixels.
Essential Phone has a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Essential Phone has a much longer battery life than Galaxy S III, because it has a 45% bigger battery size.
In addition to being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy S III is also by far the cheapest one.
