Even though the Moto G4 Plus is notably newer than the Google Nexus 4, it's just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Google Nexus 4 features a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto G4 Plus, although it has a quite worse pixel density, a little bit smaller screen and a lot lower resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
Moto G4 Plus counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Google Nexus 4, because it has an external memory card slot that admits up to 128 GB and more internal memory.
