Google Nexus 6 is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3 XL, getting a global score of 81.1 against 80.7. Google Nexus 6's body has the same weight than Google Pixel 3 XL, but it's way thicker. The Google Nexus 6 features a slightly better looking display than Google Pixel 3 XL, although it has a quite smaller display, a quite lower 2560 x 1440 resolution and a quite lower pixel density.
The Google Nexus 6 has just a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 3 XL, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an additional GPU. Google Pixel 3 XL has as much storage capacity to store more apps and games as the Google Nexus 6, both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Although Google Nexus 6 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 3 XL. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Google Pixel 3 XL, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
