Comparison review
The Google Nexus 6 is a bit better than the Galaxy Note 5, with an 81.1 score against 79.3. The Google Nexus 6 is an older, thicker and a little heavier cellphone than the Galaxy Note 5. Both of these phones come with the same Android 5.1 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that.
The Google Nexus 6 has a better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and 3 more cores. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a bit more vivid screen than Google Nexus 6, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a little bit more pixels per screen inch.
Galaxy Note 5 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Google Nexus 6, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 5 also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better images and video in low light situations and a back camera with a higher resolution.

If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Note 5, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
